Bandera native Kinlee Lawlis is making waves at the collegiate level.
The Angelo State University management major was named to the Lone Star Conference All-Conference third team after a standout indoor track and field season.
The Bandera High School Athletics Department celebrated her achievements on social media, highlighting her victories at the Blue & Gold Battle, where she won the 200-meter dash in 24.58 seconds and helped the 4x400 relay team finish first in 3:56.88.
“Kinlee isn’t just competing at the next level—she is dominating,” the post read.
Lawlis was one of 11 Rams athletes to earn a total of 13 All-Lone Star Conference honors this season.
Freshman sprinter William Opare of Accra, Ghana, was named the LSC Outstanding Male Track Athlete after winning both the 200- and 400-meter races, earning first-team honors.
Junior thrower Kamryn Williams of Wall also earned firstteam recognition for winning the women’s weight throw title and was named to the LSC All-Academic Team.
Other Angelo State athletes named to the All-LSC first team were Opare and Williams. Second- team honorees included Rami Balti of Tunisia, Davyon Williams of Austin, Baylor Wright of Coahoma, and Marie Schuler of Langenfeld, Germany. Thirdteam selections included Lamont Reed of Killeen, Travis Matthews of Coupland, Shackelia Green of Manchester, Jamaica, Kylie Frush of Glen Rose, and Lawlis.
