Special to the Bulletin
Classic cars, motorcycles and specialized entertainment will gather at River Star Event Park on March 21 for the fourth annual Hope on Wheels car show.
The event, organized by Hill Country Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities Centers, serves as a fundraiser for mental health support services that lack primary funding sources.
This year’s proceeds will specifically benefit programs such as the Emotional Support Center, which provides free services to those affected by the July 4 flood.
The show will feature a silent auction with items including signed memorabilia, jewelry and professional sports tickets.
Additional activities include lawn games, a kid’s corner, music and various food vendors. New to this year’s program is a 'car smash' event and a People's Choice Award for adults, joining the returning Kid’s Choice Award.
Check-in for the event begins at 10 a.m., with awards scheduled for 3 p.m.. While there is no fee to enter a vehicle in the show, organizers are accepting contributions at the registration table, the concession stand or through the organization's website.
Participating vehicles will enter through River Star Event Park, while spectator parking will be located at the Hill Country Youth Exhibition Center.
Hill Country MHDDC serves 19 counties in the region, including Bandera, Gillespie, Kendall, Kerr and Medina.
Those seeking more information or wishing to enter a vehicle can visit hillcountry. org or contact the community relations team at 830-792-3300.
