Special to the Bulletin
With the March 3 Democratic and Republican primary elections concluded and the May 26 run-off elections approaching, the Hill Country Chapter of Texas Democratic Women will hold an election forum on Tuesday, April 7.
The meeting will take place in the lecture hall at 125 Lehmann Drive in Kerrville.
A press release said legislative Chair Audra Arr of Kerrville will provide an analysis of the primary election results, followed by a discussion with members and guests about ideas, opinions and plans for future political engagement.
Arr, a former chapter president who currently provides legislative updates at monthly meetings, will review the primaries amid a partial federal government shutdown and the Texas Legislature being out of session. She also will enlist members in efforts to support Democratic candidates in the November general election.
The meeting agenda includes the election of officers for the 2026–27 HCCTDW chapter year, beginning in June.
Newly elected leaders will be installed at the May 5 meeting and will oversee fundraising and voter outreach for Democratic candidates at the state and federal level.
Guests and members may begin signing in at 11:15 a.m. to pick up box lunches. The business meeting will start at 11:45 a.m., followed by Arr’s presentation and discussion at noon.
The meeting is scheduled to end at 1 p.m., but attendees may stay for informal conversation.
Meetings are open to the public.
Guests may also bring their own lunches. Fees cover the cost of the venue and will be collected at check-in.
The Hill Country Chapter of Texas Democratic Women serves Bandera, Gillespie and Kerr counties, holding monthly luncheon meetings from September through May.
