Students qualify for national competition at TAFE summit

Students from Medina High School and Medina Middle School participated in the Texas Association of Future Educators (TAFE) State Teach Tomorrow Summit 2026, with several students earning national qualification honors in multiple competitive events.

Mike Bogorad and Lily Voight qualified for nationals in the Varsity Interactive Bulletin Board MS/HS category. Dominic Charnetski and Kloe Crowther also advanced to nationals in the same event.

In Varsity Project Visualize Service, Gaige Pitts and Tony Silva earned a national qualifying spot. Kloe Crowther also qualified in Varsity Lesson Planning and Delivery.

Lily Voight advanced to nationals in Varsity Teacher Created Materials. In the JV division of Teacher Created Materials, Zoey Taylor and McKayla Crowther qualified for the national competition.

Logan Cook represented the junior high division and qualified for nationals in the JH Interactive Bulletin Board MS/HS category.

School officials congratulated the students on their performances and noted that the Medina TAFE chapter was well represented at the state competition. Students who qualified will advance to the national TAFE competition later this year.
