Early voting for the March 3 Primary Election closed Friday, Feb. 27 with 3,911 voter checkins, representing a 20.4% turnout among the county’s 19,207 registered voters, according to figures released by the Bandera County Elections Office.
The office also reported receiving 226 absentee ballots.
No Election Day votes had been recorded at the close of early voting.
Primary Election Day is Tuesday, March 3.
Several local offices are contested in this year’s primary.
For Bandera County judge, Dennis Fitzgerald, Susan Junker and Kim Manglberger are on the ballot.
The race for Bandera County district clerk includes Alma Baker, Jessica Salinas and Paula (Maier) Swinney.
For Bandera County treasurer, Mickie Towers Carnes faces Beverly Schmidt.
Other offices on the ballot include Bandera County clerk, with Tandie Mansfield listed; Bandera County commissioner Precinct 2, which has no candidate listed; and Bandera County commissioner Precinct 4, with Phillip Shaffer on the ballot.
Justice of the Peace races include Mike Towers for Precinct 1, Gina Grothues for Precinct 2, Charly Seale for Precinct 3 and Nell Hardin for Precinct 4.district clerk includes Alma Baker, Jessica Salinas and Paula (Maier) Swinney.
