The Bandera County Fair Association announced the winners of its county fair logo contest contest, recognizing local junior high and high school students for their artistic contributions ahead of the coming October fair.
June Flowers earned first place in the contest, followed by Hailee Whitebread in second, Aislee Griffith in third, Lauren McDougall in fourth and Jonna D. Padvorac in fifth, according to the fair association.
The contest featured entries from students across Bandera County, with organizers presenting participation certificates to 40 students who submitted artwork. In addition to the top five finishers, students receiving participation recognition included Haylee Tomassin, Lexi Harvey, Jazmine Rhodes, Johnny Hernandez, Bentley O’Donnal, Claire Ayala, Mackayla Brode, Brielynn Gaddy, Sabrina Verhey, Liliana Salazar-Yates, Colton Rissmiller, Shae Spofford, Kassidy Sizemore, Emily Whidden, Abcde Rodriguez, Emily Lopez, Evelyn Lister, Bailey Barth, Dawn Sanders, Sophia Simmons, Samuel Hernandez, Braxton Landers, Jayden Garcia, Everly Vanderzee, Xella Huddleston, Malikah

The winners were recognized during a public event at Mansfield Park Recreation Center, where organizers invited the community to celebrate student involvement and creativity.
“The creativity and effort shown by all students made this contest a wonderful success, and we are truly appreciative of every entry submitted,” the Bandera County Fair Association Board said in a statement.
Organizers said the contest is part of ongoing preparations for the Bandera County Fair, scheduled for Oct. 8–11 at Mansfield Park. The annual event is expected to feature livestock, exhibits, carnival rides, vendors, live music and food.
The fair association said more information about the fair and its events will be announced at a later date.
