BANDERA COUNTY DISTRICT CLERK
I moved to Pipe Creek in 2003 with my husband, Roger, and our children Brandon and Ashley. From the very beginning we knew this was home.
Bandera County is more than the place we live in; it’s the community we love, serve, and believe in. My husband, Roger, has been a certified Texas Peace Officer for the past 35 years, a certified EMT, as well as a long-time volunteer and past President with the Pipe Creek Fire Department. Brandon is a paid fire fighter in Bexar County, as well as an Advanced EMT who also works part time at 2 different EMS providers. My daughter, Ashley, married to Kurtis Jennings, is a stay-at-home mom homeschooling their three daughters.
I have spent over 22 years proudly serving in Bandera County government, where I currently serve as Chief Deputy District Clerk and Court Coordinator for the District Clerk’s Office. My education and professional experience are rooted entirely in this office, bringing deep institutional knowledge and hands-on experience in every service we provide. I’ve worked my way up through experience, dedication, and service — learning every part of this office from the ground up.
I’m not running to learn the job, I’m running because I already do the job, and I will be ready on day one!

What do you see as your office’s biggest challenge, and how do you plan to address it?
The District Clerk’s Office has already made meaningful progress in modernizing our court technology, but our work is far from finished. Upgrading our systems is not the end goal, it is the foundation. True leadership means building on that progress, embracing innovation and committing to continuous improvement to better serve our courts, our legal community, and the public we serve.
Staffing stability remains a key issue. In a smaller office like the Bandera County District Clerk’s office, continued cross training and written procedures are essential to ensure continuity if someone retires or leaves. I will continue to strengthen internal processes so service to the courts and public is never Finally, public service and transparency remain ongoing priorities. I want residents to find the office accessible, responsive and professional whether they are filing a case, responding to jury summons, or seeking information.
In short, while technology upgrades are a strong foundation, my focus will be on optimization, training, sustainability, operational stability, and excellent customer service. Ensuring the District clerk’s Office continues to serve Bandera County efficiently, responsibly, and with integrity.
Campaigns often focus on change. What is something you believe is important to maintain?
One thing I believe is essential to maintain is the office’s commitment to accuracy and integrity in recordkeeping. The District Clerks is the official custodian of district court records. Those records impact people’s property, families, freedoms, and futures.
Accuracy is not optional; it is foundational to justice. That standard must never change.
I also believe it’s important to maintain the strong working relationship between the Clerk’s Office, the District Judge, and other county departments in Bandera County. Courts function best when there is professionalism, mutual respect, and open communication. Preserving those partnerships ensures continuity and stability for the community.
Finally, I want to maintain the office’s culture of public service. In a smaller county, residents expect to be treated with courtesy, fairness, and respect. That personal level of service is something worth protecting.
Change should strengthen what is already working and not disrupt it. My goal is to build on the solid foundation that exists, maintain the integrity and professionalism the public depends on, and make thoughtful improvements where they are truly needed.
