Paula Swinney did not respond to the Bulletin’s questionnaire. However, she provided responses to the League of Women Voters of the Hill Country Texas for its voter guide. For candidates who did not respond to the Bulletin, the first question and response were drawn from the League’s published questionnaire: “What training and experience qualifies you to serve as the District Clerk for Bandera County?”
I qualify to be Bandera County’s District Clerk because of the training and work experience received over 35 years that carries a proven track record of managerial skills needed to serve as the District Clerk of Bandera County. I had a career, in the corporate sector, successfully managing commission retail sales for the fine jewelry stores with JC Penney Corp. and Finley Fine Jewelry of New York, who contracted with Foley’s, Saks, Bloomingdales, and Nordstrom’s department stores. I also have experience as a contracted professional working for sole proprietors, companies and the District Clerk of Bandera, County to preform and complete tasks or projects. Finally, I have successfully owned and operated my own business that was nominated as one of the ten finalists from the NAWBO of Oklahoma and recognized for its excellence by (at the time) Lieutenant Governor Mary Fallin.
