The Bandera Middle School Lady Bulldogs hosted Devine on Feb. 11, with all four teams showing defensive intensity and continued growth as the season nears its conclusion.
In eighth-grade action, the B team (3-2) fell 17-14 in a defensive battle. Mika Gray led the defensive effort with nine steals, while Sally King added seven. Gray and Hayley Capps each scored four points, followed by Avery Dehart, Kenlee Vanhowton and Michelle Melton with two points apiece.
The eighth-grade A team also faced a strong Devine squad. Brenna Byrd scored five points and Harper Hicks added four to lead the Lady Bulldogs. Harper Hartsfield controlled the boards with 11 rebounds, while Aspen Collazo contributed six.
At the seventh-grade level, the B team showed strong ball movement and hustle throughout its game. Annalisa Moore led the scoring with four points, while Emma Grant, Summer Buxton and Iris Moore each added two.
The seventh-grade A team continued to show improvement. Abigail Wright and Harper Word each scored two points. Marlene Tetzlaff recorded four rebounds and four steals, and Presley Binnert added five rebounds.
Bandera will travel to Devine for the post-district tournament to conclude its 2026 season.
