The Bandera Bulldogs soccer program defended its home field this week with victories at both the junior varsity and varsity levels against Canyon Lake.

The varsity Bulldogs earned a 2–0 shutout win, with junior Alvaro Fernandez- Donat scoring both goals.

Fernandez-Donat continued his recent scoring run, finishing chances created through sustained possession and ball movement.

One of the goals was assisted by Hector Montero Rodriguez.

Bandera’s defense limited Canyon Lake throughout the match. Junior captain Jaymin Klein anchored the back line and recorded three saves to preserve the shutout.

The win marked a positive step for the Bulldogs in district play, as the team maintained consistent communication and structure on both sides of the ball.

In the junior varsity match, Bandera opened the night with a 4–1 victory. Emmanuel Tirado led the Bulldogs with two goals.

Garner Grabs and Ryitt Medellin each added a goal to complete the scoring.

The junior varsity squad applied constant pressure in the attacking third, creating multiple scoring opportunities and showcasing the depth of the Bulldogs’ lineup.

Bandera will look to build on the sweep in its next district match as the team continues its push toward the postseason.
