The Bandera High School powerlifting team recorded multiple top finishes Jan. 31 at the Uvalde Invitational at Harvey Kinchlow Gymnasium, highlighted by a first-place performance and regional ranking jump from Logan Harman.
Harman won the super heavyweight division with a 1,595-pound total, powered by a 615-pound squat, a 405-pound bench press and a 575-pound deadlift.
The total moved him to second in the regional standings and positioned him as a contender heading into the postseason.
Nathaniel Evans also placed in the top five, finishing fifth in the 275-pound class with a 1,380-pound total that included a 565-pound squat, a 335-pound bench press and a 480-pound deadlift.
Evans’ performance lifted him to fourth in the regional rankings for his division.
The Bulldogs will return to competition Feb. 7 at the Somerset Powerlifting Invitational.
