The Bandera Bulldog basketball teams traveled to Wimberley on Tuesday, Jan. 20, for a series of district games against the Texans.
In the varsity contest, Bandera fell 89-51.
The Bulldogs struggled early but showed improved play in the second half, making the final two quarters more competitive.
Jeffry Thomas led Bandera with 13 points, while Riley Moran was credited by coaches for his defensive effort.
The junior varsity team played a close game throughout the night, with coaches describing it as the team’s most complete performance of the season.
Chris Martinez led the Bulldogs with 14 points, and Mack Pate added eight.
The freshman team also came up short but competed until the final horn. Jackson Bower scored 13 points for Bandera, and Matthew Guaradjo was noted for his defensive play.
