Bandera High School powerlifters competed Jan. 17 at the East Central Invitational, hosted at Legacy Middle School, facing a large field and strict judging.
Two Bandera lifters earned second-place finishes in their respective weight classes.
Logan Harman placed second in the boys super heavyweight division with a total lift of 1,490 pounds. Ruby Lister finished second in the girls 198-pound weight class with a total of 815 pounds.
Coaches said the meet presented a challenge due to the level of competition and officiating standards, adding that the team gained valuable experience.
Bandera will compete next at Holy Cross High School on Saturday, Jan. 24.
