Powerlifting team opens season with strong showing

The Bandera High School powerlifting team opened its season with a strong showing at its first meet of the year in Carrizo Springs.

In the boys division, Logan Harman placed first in the super heavyweight class with a total of 1,530 pounds.

Luke Greebon added a second-place finish in the 220-pound class with a total of 805 pounds.

The Lady Bulldogs also turned in solid performances. Ruby Lister earned first place in the 198-pound class with an 800-pound total.

Anna Delgado finished second in the 242-pound class with a 685-pound total, and Eva Le placed third in the 105-pound class with a total of 460 pounds.

“I am incredibly proud of how our athletes represented Bandera High School,” coach Colton Perkins said. “They competed with confidence and intensity, and it showed the results of their hard work in the weight room. This meet set a great tone for the season.”
