The Bandera County Commissioners Court will meet in regular session at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 22, at the Bandera County Courthouse, 500 Main St., with a full agenda that includes subdivision replats, transportation planning, election matters and consideration of a countywide burn ban.
Among the items scheduled for discussion is consideration of a notice of election for the March 3, 2026, primary election, along with a proposed order adopting a countywide burn ban.
The court will also review a request to terminate the county’s current credit card processing contract for the tax office and consider selecting a new provider.
Another action item includes the discharge of firearms in certain areas of the county, with commissioners set to consider approving an order and adopting regulations related to the matter.
Multiple subdivision replats are listed on the agenda, including requests involving Bridlegate Subdivision Unit 3; Spring Creek Ranch Subdivision; Bellows Addition Subdivision; Bandera Falls Subdivision; Winds Creek Ranch Subdivision Phase 3; and Exotic Acres Subdivision.
Several of the requests include public hearings and consideration of preliminary plats.
Transportation topics include a presentation by the Texas Department of Transportation’s San Antonio District on the 2027–2030 Rural Transportation Improvement Program, as well as upcoming rural transportation projects planned for the next four years.
The Bandera County Convention and Visitors Bureau is scheduled to present its first-quarter financial report for fiscal year 2025–26.
Commissioners will also consider a request from the county’s road and bridge superintendent to remove cattle guards on Elam Creek Road off FM 337.
Additional items include budget line item transfers, budget amendments and the consent agenda, which covers routine matters such as payment of bills, acceptance of county-wide receipts, payroll approval, approval of minutes and deputations.
