A proposed $1.25 million grant for outdoor warning sirens, election-related appointments, and a Mardi Gras event request headline the agenda for the Bandera County Commissioners Court meeting at 10 a.m. Jan. 6.
The meeting will begin with public forum, followed by discussion and possible action on several agenda items.
Commissioners will consider a request to replat Lots 473 and 474 in Bridlegate Subdivision Unit 3 into a single lot. The item includes a public hearing.
The court will also review a request from the Bandera County Chamber of Commerce to use the courthouse lawn for a Mardi Gras Market Day and related events.
In other business, commissioners are scheduled to consider an order of election and appointments for county election administration. Items include appointments for the early voting ballot board judge and alternate, members of the signature verification committee, and the central counting station judge and alternate, in accordance with the Texas Election Code.
Commissioners will also consider a resolution accepting financial assistance from the Texas Water Development Board, authorizing execution of a grant agreement not to exceed $1.25 million to cover the costs of installing an outdoor warning siren system.
Additional agenda items include consideration of revised job descriptions for the human resources director and HR employees, budget line item transfers, and budget amendments.
Items on the consent agenda include routine matters such as county officials’ and departments’ reports, payment of bills, schedules of countywide receipts and semi-monthly payroll, approval of minutes, and deputations. Any item may be removed from the consent agenda for separate discussion and action.
