The law firm of Manglberger and Thomson launched their first law practice on Friday, Dec. 19, with a grand opening celebration.
Kim Manglberger and Stephanie Thomson hosted a small get-together to celebrate the inauguration of their new office.
Their firm is located between Main Street Hair and Fatboyz Sandwich Shop at 606 Highway 16 South, in the strip mall just inside the Bandera city limits.
Both women are residents of the area and have stated that Bandera is their home.
This general law practice shows that both criminal (Manglberger) and civil (Thomson) sides of the legal profession can be embodied in one firm.
The women can help with family law and probate and estate planning as well.
Both are recent St. Mary’s Law School graduates and have worked for other law firms prior to this venture.
Manglberger was a deputy sheriff for the Bandera County Sheriff’s Department for 12 years.
She has held her Texas peace officer’s license since 2013.
As a police officer and investigator, Kim has broad experience with the law enforcement community.
She is also a licensed mediator.
In addition, she is running for Bandera County judge.
Stephanie Thomson is an experienced civil litigator.
She began her career with several clerkships in firms that specialized in civil litigation.
She has extensive experience in personal injury and insurance law and is fluent in Spanish.
She can help with deeds and power of attorney.
Stephanie currently lives in Helotes, where she supports her sister, who is a student at UTSA.
Thomson plans to move to Bandera as soon as possible.
“I just want to serve our community the best I can,” said Kim Manglberger.
“I love this county and the people that live here.”
She focuses on the firm’s ability to work smoothly with other local and state agencies, including CPS and the Sheriff’s Department.
Using the firm’s resources to make smooth bridges to other state and local legal entities is a primary focus for their practice.
The women have a long-term plan to eventually hire a third attorney and move into their own building.
They want to build their firm into a place where they can support their clients with their legal expertise during some of the most stressful times in a person’s life.
“We are ready to serve the citizens of Bandera with all their legal needs,” said Thomson.
