Constitutionalists: The True Anti-Fascists

The word “Fascist” seems to get thrown around these days and utilized more often to shut down discussion than to encourage it.

There are even groups out there calling themselves “anti-fascist” while simultaneously supporting a party and leaders that seek to eliminate freedom and impose increasing centralized federal power.

However, as the great poet warrior Inigo Montoya once observed “You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.”

So, what is fascism? Lieutenant Colonel James MacMillan established the definition as a political system based on a very powerful leader, state control of social and economic life, and extreme pride in country and race, with no expression of political disagreement allowed.

The best example of this would be the originator Benito Mussolini. It was Mussolini who coined the term fascist utilizing the ancient Roman symbol of the fasces for the name of his party. This symbol consisted of a bundle of sticks with an ax at its center to symbolize the power of the state to enforce will and unity.

Amongst those who idolized Mussolini were the socialist Adolph Hitler and the Democrat Franklin Roosevelt. On a side note Roosevelt was also a fan of Communism and Stalin.

Italian fascism, just like socialism and communism, is found on the left side of the political continuum.

This continuum begins on the left with full centralized control in one-person over-all people and ends on the right with no laws and all control vested in the individual. Thus, the king or dictator is found on the left and total anarchy is on the right.

On this line fascism is found between capitalism and socialism. Sheldon Richman, editor of The Freeman: Ideas on Liberty at the Foundation for Economic Education in Irvington-Hudson, N.Y. describes fascism as socialism with a capitalist veneer.

Looking at the platforms of our 2-party system let us consider what each promotes and see which is closer to this version of socialism. Which party promotes the growth of centralized government?

Which party seeks to control the economy through increased taxation and the implementation of laws rushed to vote that have not been read? Which party threatens to enlarge SCOTUS to ensure it rules their way?

Which party opposes the growth of non-traditional journalism? Which party has gone out of its way to silence opposition and suppress facts?

Which party weaponized the IRS, FBI, and the judiciary?

Which party has promoted redefinition of basic terms for political purpose? Which party has encouraged division through the promotion of intersectionality, CRT, DEI, and redefinition of history?

Which party demonized the rule of law, law enforcement, and national sovereignty?

Which party has fought to remove the foundational recognition of the Creator as our source of rights and freedoms going so far as to state emphatically that our rights come from man made laws and not God?

In regard to President Trump I will admit he can be loud and abrasive. He is insultive, braggadocios, and overly competitive.

However, the Presidency is about policy and leadership not just politically correct politeness and popularity. I also admit that he is a nationalist. However, show me a single world leader that is not a nationalist or one that does not put their country or their way of life 1st.

Those leaders who are not nationalists are globalists and their only aim is greater personal world power not less. like LTC MacMillan I to have served. I honor and respect his service and that of his family. I also have military history.

My grandfather and 2 uncles served in WW2. My father, uncle, and brother served in the Navy and Air Force. I, myself, served 28 years in both the US Army and US Air Force serving overseas, in combat, and as part of a force used to quell riots in my own country. I am also a student of history, philosophy, and theology.

With this background I can say I have seen what a dictator is and unequivocally President Trump is neither a fascist nor a dictator. His policy and actions prove that. I welcome others who disagree to provide specific examples of why they view him as a fascist. What policy has he promoted making government larger or taking freedom away?

Now as far as who is an anti-fascist, I can say that I, and every other Constitutional Conservative, are the true anti-fascists. Why? Because we believe in, stand by, and fight for the ideals of our founding fathers and the framers of our beloved Constitution.

We understand that the foundation of our country is a recognition of the Creator and an unwavering acknowledgement that ALL rights originate from him alone. We recognize that our treasured rights are given first to the individual and family and not to government.

We recognize that there is a purpose and a place for government locally, at the state level, and at the federal level. We recognize that the purpose for government is the common good and national defense.

We recognize that any power not expressly given the federal government by the Constitution belongs to the state and local community not DC. We recognize that unity not diversity is our strength, for a hyphenated nation that is divided against itself cannot stand.

We recognize our imperfections and the imperfect past that we share.

However, we also understand that this is the greatest nation on earth because of the mission and vision God gave our forefathers. We believe that ALL men are created equal and in the image of God but that no man is promised equity of outcome. We believe truly that a man is judged by the content of his character not the color of his skin nor the sins of his ancestors.

So based on the agreed definition and historical context I fervently disagree with the assertion that President Trump or anyone in his administration is a fascist. After all I do not believe a fascist would create an office to reduce government power.
