Lady Bulldogs improve record following tournament in Llano

The Bandera Lady Bulldogs went 2-2 at the Llano Invitational Tournament over the weekend, improving their season record to 9-5.

Bandera opened tournament play Thursday with a 53-38 victory over San Saba. Senior Brooklyn Grabs led the Lady Bulldogs with 15 points and nine rebounds, while senior Taytum Moeller added 14 points and five steals. Bandera dropped its next two games against Early and St. Agnes before closing the tournament Saturday with a 54-39 win over Brady.

Senior Kourtney Frerich paced Bandera with 12 points in the win over Brady. Moeller finished the game with nine assists and eight steals. For the tournament, Moeller averaged eight points, five assists and five steals and was named to the all-tournament team.

The Lady Bulldogs return to action Tuesday with a road game against the Randolph Lady Ro-Hawks in San Antonio.
