Local metal artist Esther Benedict hosted a holiday show of her work Saturday, Nov. 29, at her gallery off State Highway 46.
Benedict displayed a range of pieces, from large cast bronzes to mixed metal projects and iron silhouettes.
Many works focused on the natural world, highlighting animals native to the Texas Hill Country, while others reflected religious themes, patriotic motifs, and Western heritage.
More than 100 guests and art enthusiasts attended the show, which featured live holiday music alongside wine and snacks.
Benedict mingled with attendees, discussing her work, and representatives from the Bandera Chamber of Commerce attended to support the artist.
Benedict has been a metal artist for more than 32 years. She began her career as a farrier in upstate New York before moving to Bandera.
Over the years, she has explored a variety of styles and often creates custom sculptures for local businesses and ranches.
Her work ranges from large outdoor pieces to smaller works suitable for interior display, appealing to a wide variety of tastes.
Her art can be found across the United States and in Europe. While the gallery features a variety of stock inventory, Benedict also accepts custom projects.
