PMI launches statewide ‘Thanks for Giving’ campaign

Philip Morris International’s U.S. operations have launched a campaign called “Thanks for Giving” to highlight charitable work and volunteer efforts across Texas.

The initiative encourages residents to recognize organizations and individuals supporting local communities.

Since 2024, PMI U.S. has donated nearly $640,000 to 43 organizations in Texas.

Contributions supported veterans and military families, economic empowerment programs, and disaster relief efforts, including assistance for communities in the Hill Country following July flooding.

The campaign also emphasizes the company’s WeCare program, which allows employees to nominate nonprofits for company- funded donations.

In 2025, WeCare directed more than $1.8 million to over 400 organizations across the U.S., including nearly $75,000 to Texas groups.

Organizations benefiting from PMI U.S.’s support include the Veteran Spouse Network, Mobile Loaves & Fishes, and the Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country.

Leaders from these groups noted that the contributions helped fund programming, outreach, and recovery efforts.

The “Thanks for Giving” initiative is part of PMI U.S.’s broader philanthropic approach, which the company describes as focused on community impact and year-round engagement.
