Bandera Tractor Supply presented $500 donations to the Bandera Marshalls and the Bandera Fire Protection District on Nov. 1 as part of National Hometown Heroes Day.
The nationwide initiative recognizes local first responders, military service members, and veterans.
Across more than 2,300 Tractor Supply stores in the U.S., each location contributed $500 to a local police, fire, or veteran organization, totaling more than $1 million in a single day. Stores hosted community events including Touch-a-Truck activities, “Thank a Hero” letter-writing stations, digital honor walls, giveaways, and special discounts for verified first responders, veterans, and military members.
Hal Lawton, president and CEO of Tractor Supply, said the event is designed to connect communities with those who serve.
“All of us at Tractor Supply are deeply grateful to the men and women who dedicate their lives to protecting and serving others,” Lawton said. “National Hometown Heroes Day is designed to bring communities together across the country in celebration of their service and sacrifice.”
The Bandera store’s donations were directed to local organizations that provide critical public safety services.
Tractor Supply launched the Hometown Heroes initiative in 2024, and since then, the company and its foundation have contributed more than $3 million to organizations supporting service members, veterans, and local first responders.
Tractor Supply, the nation’s largest rural lifestyle retailer, operates more than 2,300 stores across 49 states, along with 206 Petsense by Tractor Supply stores in 23 states. The company has focused on connecting with communities through initiatives like Hometown Heroes Day while supporting rural living, animal care, and agricultural needs.
