Medina students advance to TAFE state comp

Students from the Medina High School Texas Association of Future Educators (TAFE) chapter earned top placements at the Area 2 Conference held at the University of Texas at San Antonio, advancing several competitors to the State Teach Tomorrow Summit in February.

The conference included events focused on lesson planning, instructional materials, service projects, and visual displays.

Medina students competed in multiple categories and received recognition for their work.

Advancing to state are:

• Mike Bogorad and Lily Voight – Interactive Bulletin Board MS/HS, Varsity

• Lily Voight – Teacher Created Materials, Varsity

• Anthony Silva and Gaige Pitts – Project Visualize Service, Varsity

• Kloe Crowther – Lesson Planning & Delivery Arts, Varsity

• Kloe Crowther and Dominic Charnetski – Interactive Bulletin Board MS/HS, Varsity • Zoey Taylor and McKayla Crowther – Teacher Created Materials, JV

• Logan Cook – Interactive Bulletin Board MS/ HS, Junior High Chapter sponsors said they are proud of the students’ dedication and preparation leading up to the competition, and are looking forward to seeing them represent Medina at the state level.

The 2025 TAFE State Teach Tomorrow Summit will take place in February, where students from across Texas will compete and attend workshops focused on careers in education.
