The Frontier Times Museum will host Dr. Don Frazier, director of The Texas Center at Schreiner University, on Thursday, Nov. 20, for a presentation of his landmark video series, E Pluribus Texas.
The event will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. in the downstairs meeting room of the Bandera Kronkosky Public Library, 515 Main St., and is free and open to the public.
Frazier, an award-winning author and expert on Texas history with a focus on the Civil War and the U.S.–Mexican Borderlands, has been involved in heritage and cultural tourism projects across the state, including the development of museums and historical trails.
He was appointed to the Texas 1836 Project by Gov. Greg Abbott and later selected to lead The Texas Center, which promotes classic Texan virtues through educational programs.
As director, Frazier developed E Pluribus Texas: Telling the Story of Our State, a video series of 250 five-minute episodes designed as a teaching tool and engaging introduction to Texas history.
“Texas is perhaps the best expression of the American experiment,” Frazier said.
Frazier has also contributed to museum development at the Texas Civil War Museum, Buffalo Gap Historic Village, and Frontier Texas!, earning the Mitchell Wilder Award for Excellence in Publications and Media Design from the Texas Association of Museums.
He is a member of the Philosophical Society of Texas, a fellow of the Texas State Historical Association, and serves as a Director- Scholar on the board of the Texas Historical Foundation.
