Bandera Middle School’s volleyball teams wrapped up their final home district games of the season Monday against Uvalde.
7th Grade
The seventh grade A team fell to Uvalde 259, 25-15, but showed improvement and several strong individual performances.
Lila Hicks recorded seven aces, while Marlene Tetzlaff and Harper Word each added one. Everly VanderZee, Kenzie Campbell, and Word led the team in passing.
The seventh grade B team dropped a close three-set match, 25-18, 24-26, 9-15.
Shannon Lewis, Madison Halsell, and Macy Keenan were consistent from the service line, while Evangelina Rodriguez, Lewis, and Madeline Anderwald contributed key passes that kept the offense in rhythm.
8th Grade
The eighth grade A team lost 14-25, 2628, battling back in a close second set. Colbie Lalanne recorded six assists and seven points, while Breena Byrd led the defense with nine digs and 12 points, including two aces.
Harper Hartsfield added two aces, two assists, and seven points, while Sydney Bowman contributed six digs and a kill.
The eighth grade B team extended its match to three sets before falling 25-23, 14-25, 12-15. After taking the first set, the Bulldogs continued to compete throughout the contest.
All four Bandera teams will close out district play Monday against Devine.
The eighth grade A team will compete for the top spot in the district standings.
