Bandera Athletic Director and Head Football Coach Joel Fontenot- Amedee has been named a finalist for the Dave Campbell’s Texas Football Game Changing Coach Award, recognizing high school coaches who make an impact on and off the field.
The honor, presented by Dave Campbell’s Texas Football and Ballogy, highlights educators who go “the extra mile” in developing student-athletes. Fontenot- Amedee was selected as one of the top finalists from more than 60 nominees statewide.
The recognition comes as the Bulldogs continue their undefeated season under Fontenot- Amedee’s leadership — their best start in decades.
“This is such a special group of seniors, and it’s fitting for them to perform the way they have,” Fontenot-Amedee said. “We’re fired up to keep building on what this team has accomplished.”
The Bulldogs are currently enjoying a bye this week before returning to district play this Friday, Oct. 24, against Devine.
