The Bandera High School cross country teams hosted the District Meet on Thursday, Oct. 9, at Bandera City Park, where the Lady Bulldogs turned in strong performances across all divisions.
The varsity girls finished fourth as a team with 89 points. Senior Taytum Moeller led the squad with a 13th-place finish and a time of 12:25, earning a medal, while fellow senior Lori King placed 16th in 12:51.
Despite several personal- best times, the team narrowly missed advancing to the next round.
Other varsity finishers included Kaylee Fried (19th, 13:00), Riley Lalanne (20th, 13:01), Aubrie Moore (21st, 13:02), Milesia Casas (22nd, 13:09) and Xoi Cook (23rd, 13:15). The junior varsity girls dominated their division, taking first place overall with 22 points. Freshman Cassi Williams led the charge, finishing first with a time of 13:30 after passing junior Merry Robison (13:38) in the final stretch.
Freshman Veronica Ibarra placed fourth in 13:45, while sophomores Emma Rynarzewski (14:02) and Addison Ashcraft (14:04) finished seventh and eighth, respectively.
Additional JV finishers included Briley Clark (13th, 14:43), Bella Fazio (14th, 14:46), and Alivia Pack (20th, 15:04), with a total of 30 runners representing Bandera in the event.
In the senior division, Rosa Espino placed sixth overall, clocking a time of 16:52.
