Lakehills Area Library is hosting two artists for the month of October.
Merle Admire is a local photographer who has been shooting pictures since high school. He says he “wants to tell a story, share an experience, stir an emotion, or make a memory.”
During the COVID shutdown, 17 members of his family shared their photographs to keep in touch with each other and friends. Some of the photos are represented at the library, and he hopes the public will also enjoy them.
His company is All Creation Photo Works, and Admire can be reached at 210-213-9226.
The second artist is 13-year-old Leonardo De La Cruz. He works in polymer clay, air clay sculptures and mixed media sculptures.
De La Cruz is an eighth grader at Bandera Middle School and has loved art since he was three years old. His birthdays are exciting because of his supportive parents, who give him more art supplies.
De La Cruz says, “When I grow up, I want to be a cartoon artist or a stop-motion animation artist to make kids happy.”
Visitors are invited to stop by the library to view De La Cruz’s work.
