It was a strong Friday for Medina athletics, as the Bobcats and Lady Cats earned victories in JV volleyball, junior high football and high school football on Sept. 19.
The JV Lady Cats opened the night with a 25-17, 28-26 win over La Pryor.
In Runge, the junior high Bobcats picked up their first win of the season in decisive fashion.
After scoring just one touchdown in their opener, they exploded for 64 points in a 64-27 victory.
The varsity Bobcats capped the evening with a dominant performance, rolling past Runge 64-0 in a game that ended at halftime due to the mercy rule.
Looking ahead, the Bobcats travel to Veribest on Friday, Sept. 26, for a 7 p.m. kickoff.
The Lady Cats will host D’Hanis that same night in their first district volleyball contest of the season.
