UVALDE, Texas — The Texas A&M AgriLife Research and Extension Center in Uvalde will host a hunter education course on Saturday, Sept. 27, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The one-day course is designed for novice and young hunters ages 9 and older. It will cover firearm and hunting safety, hunting ethics and wildlife conservation.

Certified volunteer instructors will lead the session, which includes up to six hours of classroom instruction.

The course fee is $15, with possible additional range or facility fees. Enrollment is limited to 25 participants. Priority will be given to 4-H youth and their families, but adults may enroll if space is available.

Participants must attend the full course, pay the fee on arrival, and pass a written exam with a score of at least 75%.
