Beer, games and live music return to Bandera Brewery Sept. 18–21 for the annual Beerfest.
“Beerfest is the event we look forward to all year,” said Johnny Oliver, co-owner and head brewer at Bandera Brewery. “It’s a chance for our community to come together, enjoy some friendly competition and taste some of our most special brews.”
The festival kicks off Thursday with a ticketed opening night dinner featuring 4R Texas BBQ, followed by three days packed with competitions, music and specialty beer releases. Ticket sales for that dinner closed Thursday.
Highlights include Friday’s karaoke and yodeling contests, Saturday’s brewery pong tournament, stein hold, keg competition and grand champion relay.
The Bandera Brewery beer garden stage will see live performances from the Night Crawlers on Saturday and David Wayne and Paul Hilliard on Sunday.
In addition to games and music, festivalgoers can sample exclusive beers, including limited-run seasonal releases and experimental batches created by the brewery team.
“Seeing everyone line up for our specialty beers and watching the excitement around the competitions makes all the work we put in worthwhile,” Oliver said.
Beerfest is free to attend. Game tickets are available in person at the brewery or online at banderabrewery. com, with all proceeds supporting the Bandera Brewery Scholarship Fund.
