The Bandera Middle School cross country teams competed at Ingram over the weekend, facing a challenging course with a half-mile uphill climb. Despite the difficult terrain, more than half of the runners set personal records. The seventh-grade girls placed fourth, just one point behind third place. The eighthgrade girls finished third, with Sydney Bowman and Olivia Rynarzewski earning individual medals. The seventh-grade boys posted their best finish of the season, placing fifth. The eighth-grade boys did not have enough runners to form a full team, but all four athletes set personal records. Rudy Esparza ran two miles in 12 minutes, 32 seconds, finishing fifth overall.
