The Medina Bobcats opened their 2025 football season with a decisive win Friday, defeating Bulverde’s Bracken Christian Academy 66-12 in a game that ended at halftime under the mercy rule.
The Bobcats, looking to avenge last year’s loss to Bracken, dominated from the start, piling up multiple touchdowns in the first quarter and carrying that momentum into the second.
By halftime, Medina had reached its goal of securing an early victory, with officials calling the game after the second quarter.
Medina, now 2-0 on the season, will host its next games Friday, Sept. 12.
The junior high team plays at 5 p.m., followed by the high school matchup at 7 p.m.
