The American Legion Post 410, of Lakehills, celebrated the lives of four fallen members on August 30.
Families and friends met together to honor four members who had recently passed on: Former Commander Arthur Nicholl, who was involved within the community by assisting the Medina Lake Volunteer Fire Department, the Lakehills Community Center, delivering food for Meals on Wheels, and serving as our resident Santa Claus; Former Commander William Evans; Former Auxiliary President Christy Kinzer; and Former Legionnaire Victor Keyes.
About 50 people attended the memorial.
Commander Jim Schledorn opened the gathering and Chaplain Everett McCarley gave the invocation, and then several people shared their memories of all four.
With such memories, these heroes will not be forgotten.
