The 4th of July Pet Parade, postponed due to flooding, will now take place on Saturday, Oct. 11.
Organizers say all activities, competitions, and festivities originally planned for the July parade will remain the same for the rescheduled event.
The parade is a popular community celebration, attracting spectators and competitors from across Texas and beyond who want to experience the “4th of July — Bandera style.”
Karen Hensley, who is coordinating the parade, said it is important to get the word out so people know the October event will feature the same activities listed on the original flyer.
“We want everyone to see it and get excited about still having fun at the event this year,” Hensley said.
