To help local students achieve their dreams of furthering their education, Bandera County Farm Bureau awarded two $1000 Scholarships.
“We offer these scholarships at a local level to help kids here at home,” Bandera County Farm Bureau President Booker Young said. “Trade school, college and university educations can be expensive. Scholarships are one way we invest in the future of Texas Agriculture.”
Lauren Meier and Jalyn Lamb received scholarships thru the Bandera County Farm Bureau scholarship Program.
“These young women were selected based on their academic, scholastic and agricultural involvement,” Young said, “We are proud of their commitment to their education and to agriculture.”
Lauren is the daughter of Kevin and Julie Meier of Bandera and a graduate of Bandera High School.
She plans to attend Texas A&M University to study Nutrition.
Jalyn is the daughter of Jerrett and Megan Lamb of Bandera and a graduate of Bandera High School.
She plans to attend Oklahoma State University to study Animal Science and Agricultural Communications.
“We are confident these students will be successful in their future endeavors,” Booker said.
