The newly formed Pipe Creek Community Association will hold its first community meeting Monday, Aug. 18, at the Pipe Creek Dancehall, organizers announced.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m., with the meeting starting at 6:30 p.m.
The gathering aims to bring together residents, business owners and landowners to strengthen the rapidly growing community, according to Mike Easterling, co-chair of the association’s steering team.
“Our goal is simple in that we would like to see our community become stronger together… with our initiatives based on the four areas of historical preservation, business association, community event and managed development/governance,” Easterling said. “We will be stronger together and we will not be on our heels as growth in our portion of the county continues to outpace any other area in the county by far.”
The association serves as a coalition of community leaders dedicated to promoting sustainable and ethical development while preserving Pipe Creek’s rich cultural heritage, history and values.
It also focuses on supporting local businesses, fostering community events and preventing unwanted annexation through well-planned governance.
According to the group’s Facebook page, the association strives to create appealing gathering spaces and build a collaborative network of local businesses that serve residents and visitors alike.
Members hope to cultivate a vibrant future for Pipe Creek that balances growth with environmental stewardship and community engagement.
Organizers encourage residents to attend the meeting to meet others in the community and join the association.
They also invite the public to participate in an online survey to share their thoughts and help shape the group’s priorities.
