Jimmy Burgers has been open for 14 years, serving the Bandera community with dishes for “kids and picky eaters,” as well as offering hot dog specials.
All burger entrées are served with their signature hand-cut fries, and the restaurant features both weekly and daily specials.
While the signage on the building reads “Jimmy’s Burgers,” many online sources list the name as “Jimmy Burgers.” Owner Brian Callaway said, “It doesn’t matter.”
Although Jimmy Burgers has moved between locations over the years, customers can now find it at its current location off 3540 Hwy 16 S.
Some navigation apps, such as Apple Maps, may still route users to the restaurant’s previous address in Bandera. For more accurate directions, customers are encouraged to use Google Maps or visit the Jimmy Burgers Facebook page.
The restaurant is located next to Bandera Brewery, where patrons are welcome to enjoy their meals.
Though the businesses are separate, they frequently collaborate on weekend events. Most recently, Jimmy Burgers and Bandera Brewery jointly donated a portion of their sales to the Kerr County Flood Relief Fund.
“We’re very grateful for them. We owe them a lot of our business,” Callaway said.
Callaway recommends two of their signature burgers to first-time visitors: the Mushroom Swiss Burger and The Full Beauty.
Both come with lettuce, tomatoes, grilled onions, mustard and mayo. The Mushroom Swiss is topped with mushrooms and Swiss cheese, while The Full Beauty includes jalapeños, bacon and cheese.
Jimmy Burgers is now open Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Happy hour appetizer specials are expected weekdays from 2 to 5 p.m. The restaurant is closed Sundays and Mondays.
Callaway said Jimmy Burgers hopes to continue serving the community with consistent hours and quality food.
