Ellen Mast, maker of beautiful quilts, has donated a quilt which the library is raffling off and the proceeds will go to the library to purchase children’s books. Tickets are $1 each or six for $5 and can be purchased at the front desk. The drawing will be held on September 1.
Summer Reading for youngsters is over, and the staff is taking a break. Infant & Toddler Storytime is also taking off this month. Both will resume in September.
Texercise Select will meet Tuesdays and Thursdays, until Sept. 18, 1-2:30 p.m. The class is for adults 60 years and older, teaching fitness through exercise and nutrition. It is a state-wide 10week program sponsored by AACOG’s Area Agency on Aging.
Garden Club will meet Saturday, August 16, at 11 a.m. They will discuss native plants.
Yarn Club meets every Friday, from 12:30 to 2 p.m. in the library meeting room.
Christian Classic Literary Book Club meets Mondays, August 4 & 18, 10-11:30 a.m.
Benefits Enrollment Center, brought by Silver Sage, will be available Wednesday, August 13, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., to provide application assistance for those over 65 or disabled.
Board meeting is Wednesday, August 13, at 4:30 p.m. The public is welcome, and they are seeking more board members.
Evening Book Club will meet Tuesday, August 26, at 5:30 to discuss “1984” by George Orwell.
