On Saturday, Nov. 15, the Hill Country sky will shine a little brighter as the Arthur Nagel Community Clinic hosts its 11th annual Cork & Fork fundraiser, returning to the Farm Country Club Pavilion on Prue Road from 6 to 10 p.m.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the Arthur Nagel Community Clinic, which provides free medical, mental health and wellness services to underserved residents of Bandera County.
Organizers say this year’s theme, Stars Over Texas, celebrates the strength, generosity and resilience of the Bandera County community.
Co-chaired by longtime supporters Bill and Kim McAleb along with Randy and Debbie Flowers, Cork & Fork offers attendees a lively evening of fine dining, music and giving that consistently sells out.
“We have watched Cork & Fork grow from not only one of the most fun and exciting nights of the year, but to a can’t-miss event, as we experienced last year when the tables sold out so early,” said Bill McAleb. “It is heartwarming to know that the dollars contributed on this special night help guarantee that the uninsured in Bandera County can receive the very best in medical care from the Nagel Clinic.”
This year’s guests will enjoy a gourmet dinner prepared by The Backyard Bistro of Pipe Creek, followed by dancing under the stars to the sounds of Austin’s Weldon Henson & Band.
The evening will also include a special performance by Trinity University’s all-male a cappella group, the Trinitones.
A highlight of the evening will be a heartfelt tribute to military veterans, followed by the presentation of the Hometown Hero Award to trick roper Kevin Fitzpatrick, honoring his service and spirit within the community.
In addition to the program, the event will feature both a silent auction and a fast-paced live auction, led by auctioneer Todd Odom. Attendees can bid on a wide range of items while enjoying complimentary wine and beer, provided by Beverage Sponsor Bandera Wine & Spirits.
One of the standout attractions of the evening is the Premier Firearms Raffle, featuring 10 high-end firearms—five handguns and five long guns—from respected manufacturers such as Kimber, Sig Sauer, Henry, Ruger and Radical Firearms.
Adding a touch of Texas charm, each table will feature a yellow rose centerpiece, donated by Jastra Enterprises, symbolizing friendship, pride and the enduring Texas spirit.
Reservations open Aug. 1. Sponsor tables, which seat eight, range from $800 to $5,000. Individual tickets are $100, with a discounted rate of $75 for veterans. Reservations can be made by calling (830) 796-3448, ext. 9.
