The City of Bandera will conduct a test of its outdoor warning sirens at approximately noon on Thursday, July 10, officials announced Monday.
“Recent events in Kerr County and along the Guadalupe River have underscored how vital it is to have clear, functioning emergency communication systems,” the City of Bandera said in a statement on Facebook. “While Bandera County also experienced storm impacts, we’re committed to making sure our residents are as prepared as possible for future emergencies.”
During the test, residents can expect to hear the siren sound briefly around 12 p.m.
Officials emphasized that this is only a test and no action is required from the public.
City leaders said they plan to follow the test with further updates about emergency protocols and future siren testing.
For questions, residents are encouraged to contact Bandera City Hall at 830-796-3765.
