Kerrville officials announce flood relief efforts, volunteer opportunities and community resources

In response to devastating floods across Kerr County, city and county officials have partnered with local churches, nonprofits and relief agencies to coordinate volunteer efforts, collect donations and support displaced residents.

The City of Kerrville announced updated relief measures on Monday, including multiple sites now accepting in-kind and monetary donations.

Volunteers and material donations are being accepted at the Salvation Army Kerrville, located at 855 Hayes St. The site is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Ingram Elementary School, 125 Brave Run in Ingram, is also accepting drop-off donations of essential supplies.

Monetary donations may be made online through the Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country by searching for the “Kerr County Relief Fund” at communityfoundation.net. Checks may also be mailed to:

Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country
241 Earl Garrett St.
Kerrville, TX 78028

Checks should be made payable to the Kerr County Flood Relief Fund.

Authorities are also asking residents with information about missing loved ones to contact the Emergency Operations Center at (830) 258-1111 or email [email protected]. Individuals should include the missing person’s name, date of birth, gender, eye color, hair color, a recent photo and their last known location.

Shelter remains available for those displaced by floodwaters. The First United Methodist Church at 321 Thompson Drive in Kerrville is providing temporary housing. Calvary Temple Church, 3000 Loop 534, is offering space and support for families of individuals who are missing.

Donors offering services, personnel or equipment — including heavy machinery, law enforcement assistance or communications gear — may coordinate through the Texas Crisis Response network at tcr.communityos.org.

Officials encourage residents to follow verified city and county channels for ongoing updates as recovery efforts continue.
