Save Medina Lake hosting annual meeting

The nonprofit organization Save Medina Lake will host its annual meeting on Saturday, June 28, featuring a public presentation on its research and ongoing initiatives to preserve Medina Lake.

The event will take place at the Lakehills Community Center, 11225 PR 37 in Lakehills, with doors opening at noon and the presentation beginning at 1 p.m.

The meeting is free to attend and will include a silent auction, door prizes, and opportunities for the public to get involved in conservation efforts.

A $25,000 matching funds donation has been pledged to support the silent auction, encouraging additional community participation and support.

The presentation will focus on local conservation data and strategies aimed at protecting Medina Lake’s ecosystem and water supply— issues that have taken on new urgency amid recent droughts and water management concerns.

“We want to share our findings and plans with the community and continue to build support for the future of Medina Lake,” the organization said in a release.

Community members can also learn more and donate by visiting www. savemedinalake.com.

For additional information, questions, or to get involved, attendees are encouraged to text or call 210854-3060 or 210-716-4149.

Save Medina Lake is a volunteer-driven effort that advocates for the conservation of one of South Texas’s most vital water resources, with the slogan “Conservation Benefits Everyone.”
