The Bandera Order of the Eastern Star Chapter #643 and Bandera Masonic Lodge #1123 honored their 2024–25 scholarship recipients during a joint gathering on Tuesday, June 10.
Graduates, along with their parents and siblings, were introduced during a potluck dinner held before the Eastern Star’s June monthly meeting.
Each student presented their family members and spoke briefly about their college plans.
Julia Freeman received a $1,500 scholarship from the Bandera Eastern Star and will attend Texas A&M University, where she plans to study psychology.
Heather Baker, awarded a scholarship from the Masonic Lodge, will attend Tarleton State University to pursue a degree in animal science. She plans to continue her education at Texas A&M University as a graduate student in equine industry management.
Cody Sweeney, also a recipient of a Masonic Lodge scholarship, will attend Abilene Christian University to study agribusiness.
Each student was presented with a copy of “Oh, the Places You’ll Go” as a commemorative gift.
The Bandera Eastern Star and Masonic Lodge continue their tradition of supporting local students through service and scholarship.
