Dogs, cats, horses, cows, llamas and more will take center stage at the 29th Annual Pet Parade, set for Friday, July 4, 2025, at Bandera City Park.
Sponsored by the Cowboy Capital Pet Assistance League (C.C.P.A.L.), the popular event invites community members to lead, ride or carry their pets in celebration of creativity, patriotism, and animal companionship.
The parade is free to attend for anyone who mentions they are there for the pet parade.
Registration begins at 9 a.m., with judging at 9:30 a.m. Participants must be in the judging area to be eligible. The parade begins at 10 a.m.
Pets can compete in several categories, including:
• Star Spangled Honors – Most patriotic costume
• Best of the Wild West – Cowboy Capital Western costume
• Look-A-Like Award – Pets and owners with matching appearances
• Most Talented Pet – Animals showing talent to the judges
• Most Original – Unique costume or pet
