Alamo RC&D’s Senior Assistance Program has officially resumed operations at its new location, Lighthouse Church, located at 10,771 PR 37 in Lakehills.
The organization will host several free events in June for area seniors age 55 and older. Each event will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the new location.
The Food Pantry, including the Branches of Hope distribution, will be held Thursday, June 12.
The monthly Senior Social Event is scheduled for Tuesday, June 17. This month’s theme is “Celebrating Seniors.”
The Senior Potluck Lunch & Learn will take place Tuesday, June 24, with a presentation titled “Safety Savvy Online,” focused on internet safety and security for seniors.
Each attendee must have completed 2025 registration, either online or at the door, and must RSVP in advance by text or email.
Alamo RC&D, which serves 10 counties in Central Texas, is seeking monetary donations to support food and fan purchases for the summer. Donations may be made at www.alamorcd.org or by mailing a check to the address listed on the site. Contributions should be earmarked for the Senior Assistance Program.
