The Bandera All Class Reunion is always a fun time for BHS alumni to reconnect and celebrate their shared history.
This year, the event carries extra significance for Billie Jean and Rudolph “Sonny” Schott, who mark 75 years since graduating from Bandera High School- as they are both among the few living members of their class.
What makes their story more special is their journey from classmates to devoted partners. Now living in Meadowlakes, Texas, they stand as a testament to the lasting bonds forged at BHS.
Life in a small town in Texas was simple yet deeply connected. The school fostered friendships and experiences that shaped the lives of its students for decades to come.
Now, as part of the last remaining graduates of their class, Billie and Sonny carry forward the legacy of all the students that also walked those halls.
This year’s reunion is even more special. Sonny’s sister, Dr. Linda Schott, of Lakehills, Texas will celebrate her 50 year reunion from Bandera High School. Brothers, sisters, family and friends will all be uniting to celebrate Bulldog traditions.
Though Billie now resides in Meadowlakes, she has always considered Bandera her home-a place filled with memories, friendships, and the spirit of the community that shaped her life.
For Billie and Sonny, their 75 year reunion is more than just an occasion. It is a celebration of the rich history of Bandera High School.
Friends, family and all alumni are welcome to attend the Bandera All Class Reunion on June 6-8. More information can be found on Facebook on the Bandera All Class Reunion Group page.
