Pantry relocating in June

Alamo RC&D’s Senior Assistance Program will temporarily pause operations after the sale of the church where its food pantries and senior activities have been held.

The organization announced that the new property owner has asked Alamo RC&D to relocate. Officials said they are in the process of moving to another site in Lakehills and plan to restart the Senior Program in June.

In the meantime, residents in need of food assistance are encouraged to visit Silver Sage food distributions. The next event is scheduled for April 28 in Lake Medina Shores, by the pool, from 10 a.m. to noon. Silver Sage will continue holding distributions throughout May, with more information available on its Facebook page.

Alamo RC&D emphasized that it is not leaving the community or abandoning the Senior Assistance Program, but is simply transitioning to a new local facility. More updates will be shared as they become available.

Alamo RC&D is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and all donations are tax deductible.
