A Shiner resident claimed a $1 million top prize in the Texas Lottery scratch ticket game VIP Millions.
According to a press release from Texas Lottery, the winning ticket was purchased at Snappy’s Market #4, located at 611 U.S. Highway 77A S.
The winner, who chose to remain anonymous, is the third person to claim one of the game’s four $1 million top prizes.
VIP Millions offers more than $115 million in total prizes. The overall odds of winning any prize in the game are 1 in 3.62, including break-even prizes, according to the Texas Lottery.

Since 1997, it has contributed $34.7 billion to the Foundation School Fund, which supports public education in Texas.
