The Junior High Lady Cats secured runner-up honors at the Annual Nueces Canyon Junior High Tournament on Saturday, Jan. 18. The Lady Cats defeated Hunt 17-9 to advance to the championship game. In other basketball news, the Varsity Lady Cats remain in playoff contention after defeating both Comstock and Knippa during the week of Jan. 13–17. The victories improved their district record to 6-2. Meanwhile, the Varsity Bobcats are just outside of playoff standings as they prepare to begin the second half of district play this week.
